High-precision brain treatment
Personalized radiation therapy without compromising accuracy and accuracy
New opportunities for more personalized treatment are emerging
Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™ is a fully integrated system that meets the needs of each stage of the workflow.
Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™ (LGKI) gives doctors the opportunity to perform simultaneous or fractional frame or frameless radiotherapy procedures, which allows for more individualized treatment without compromising accuracy and accuracy.
High therapeutic dose with maximum accuracy
Gamma Knife Radiosurgery (GKRS) can be used in place of or in addition to traditional brain surgery or whole brain radiotherapy.
During GKRS, up to 192 beams of radiation from cobalt-60 sources converge on the target with high accuracy. In the isocenter, where the rays merge, the radiation dose is concentrated on the target, sparing healthy brain tissue.
The volume and shape of the target determine the number of beams used, and each beam can be individually modulated, which further increases accuracy.
Stereotactic cone-beam computed tomography
The built-in stereotactic cone-beam computed tomography system checks the patient's position and determines the stereotactic coordinates in 3D, allowing each treatment to be adapted to the patient's position.
Online adaptive dose control
The Online Adaptive DoseControl system confirms the accuracy of the target position and ensures accurate delivery of the treatment before each treatment fraction. Integrated into the LGK management system, it allows you to make clinical decisions during the treatment process.
